Following last week’s announcement of Outkast appearing as headliners, Bestival 2014 has released another bunch of artists including two new headliners.

The latest announcement sees the return of indie-rockers, Foals, to the island. Having made their Bestival debut back in 2007, the band is now coming back as Saturday night headliners.

Foals has had an extremely successful few years, having recently been coined as “arguably Britains greatest live band at the moment” by the Sunday Times. On their return to the festival they’ve said: “We couldn’t be more excited & honoured to be part of Bestival this year; it’s the perfect end to our touring for Holy Fire. We promise a night of madness, mayhem & good times!”

The opening night headliner has been announced as American singer-songwriter Beck. Beck will be bringing a wealth of brand new material as he will soon be releasing his first album in six years – ‘Morning Phase’, on 25 February. Playing this alongside some old treasures, his Bestival performance is set to be an r&b, hip-hop, folky wonder.

Following the very exciting announcement of Outkast for Friday night’s main stage is an equally as exciting performance set to warm the Main Stage crowd up from dynamic sibling duo, Disclosure.

Two nights later, the Main Stage will be whipped into a frenzy once more by electronic dancehall DJ project Major Lazer who will be playing before the yet to be announced Sunday headliner. With a brand new EP – ‘Apocalypse Soon’ – due on 25 February also, Major Lazer’s which will be another performance showcasing brand new material.

Other artists announced for this year’s Desert Island Disco are BBC Sound of 2014 winner Sam Smith as well as London GrammarWild BeastsCaribou; chart toppers Clean Bandit, Chvrches and soul singer Laura Mvula.

Bestival 2014 will be heading back to the Isle of Wight’s Robin Hill Park between 4-7 September. With more headliners still to be announced, Bestival is shaping up for a fantastic 2014.
