Latitude have revealed that Damon Albarn will headline the ninth edition of the festival in what will be his only UK festival appearance this summer.
Damon first appeared at Latitude in 2007 with his supergroup The Good, The Bad & The Queen and now audiences will be able to see his first ever festival appearance as a solo artist at Latitude on Saturday 19th July as he performs his new solo album ‘Everyday Robots’ which is due for release in April 2014.
Albarn joins other Latitude UK exclusive performances including Two Door Cinema Club making their first festival headline appearance; Norwegian electronic duo Röyksopp and Swedish indie-pop pioneer Robyn, winner of the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards ‘Roots Award’, Billy Bragg and the colourful and psychedelic experimental Swedish band Goat.
Other names already announced include Haim, Booker T. Jones, Anna Calvi, Phosphorescent and Nils Frahm, Cass McCombs, Willis Earl Beal, San Fermin, Marika Hackman, Son Lux and Josephine Foster.
