Bearded Theory

Bearded Theory Festival has confirmed several artists for 2014’s event and a brand new location at Catton Hall in South Derbyshire.

Legendary Joy Division/New Order main man, Peter Hook, and his band The Light lead the first batch of artists confirmed for Bearded Theory Festival 2014. Peter Hook & The Light have wowed audiences around the world; for Bearded Theory, they will be performing a set made up of classic tracks from both seminal bands.

Joining them at Bearded Theory’s new location are award-winning folk-rock outfit Oysterband who will be promoting their new album – Diamonds on the Water, scheduled for release in 2014. US rock-fusion veterans Fishbone will also be joining them.

Also confirmed today are reconvened UK favourites and master combiners of ska, punk, dub, reggae and rock – King Prawn, as well as The Membranes, 3 Daft Monkeys, Leatherat and Anti-Vigilante with more big announcements including headliners still to come.

The move to Catton Hall – home of Bloodstock Open Air and the Big Session festivals – means Bearded’s organisers can take full advantage of a four-day event, with music starting on Thursday 22nd May and continuing through the Bank Holiday weekend until late on Sunday 25th.  Festival director Steve Blount says: “It’s a hugely exciting time for Bearded Theory and all the signs are that 2014 will be the best event yet – our ticket sales so far suggest that our festival-goers are just as excited about it as we are.”

Tickets are now on general sale , adult tickets are priced at £87 plus booking fee. For more information and tickets click here.
