Motorhead

Heavy Metal rockers Motorhead have been confirmed to play at this year’s Coachella Music and Arts Festival, which takes place in California over two weekends in April.

The announcement came yesterday morning via the festival’s Twitter feed.

The news follows concerns over the health of Motorhead’s sole constant member, Lemmy, who recently cancelled tour dates after having a pacemaker fitted.

Clearly there are still some legs in the old dog yet, and fans can look forward to a typically hi-octane, ear bleeding set from the notorious frontman and his band.

Other acts already revealed include Bonobo, Factory Floor, The InternetBombino, Future IslandsThe Glitch Mob and The Magician. More acts are expected to be announced by the end of the month.

Dates for the festival, which has been dubbed as America’s answer to Glastonbury, have been confirmed as 11th to 13th April for the first weekend, and 17th to 20th April for the second. Tickets are priced around £225 for each weekend and will be on sale Friday 10th January at 10pm PST.
