With only eight months now to go until the 47th edition of the Roskilde Festival, the organisers have dropped their first announcement regarding the line up. Consisting of 14 likely faces this list see Modeselektor and Moderat joining forces for the first time ever at the party.
More than making up the numbers are Angel Olsen, Of Mice & Men, G-Eazy, Jenny Hval, and local hero Trentemøller. Of course, this is only the first of many announcements destined to worm their way out of the Roskilde Festival, so keep your eyes peeled over the coming months.
Trentemøller has already proven that he has what it takes to rock the audience at Roskilde, proving his abilities by conquering the Orange Stage in previous years. This time out he’s going to be taking over the Arena stage, Roskilde’s second biggest venue where he’ll be backed by a full band.
With American Indie darling Angel Olsen and Norway’s Jenny Hval there’s more than enough for the hipsters looking for the lo-fi sound, whilst those with a love for a sound with a little more revolution will enjoy the hard-hitting Of Mice & men and Pig Destroyer.
There’re about 175 acts playing the festival, and today’s announcement simply underlines the festival’s famous commitment to diversity right the way across the entire musical spectrum.
The not for profit bash will take place from Saturday 24th June through to Saturday 1st July just outside of the old town of Copenhagen. Tickets officially go on sale on the 15th November, but you can join the waiting list here.
