Eastern Electrics Festival has announced its initial line up and revealed its brand new location for 2014’s return.

The first acts revealed for this year’s all-day party include bass-infused house duo Art Department; head honcho at BPitch Control, Ellen Allien and house legend with a heavy side of soul, Kerri Chandler.

Route 94 has also been added to the bill; at just twenty years old the young DJ is off to an astounding start having recently knocked Pharrell from the number one spot in the charts with his single ‘My Love’ ft Jess Glynne.

Another force to be reckoned with lined up for this year’s EE festival is Tania Vulcano and one of Germany’s most highly acclaimed female techno and house DJ’s, tINI.

Following rumours of liquidation late last year the festivals return is welcomed back with a fresh location at the grand location of Hatfield House in Hertfordshire.

Festival promoter Rob Star says: “The feedback from the event last year was so good that it made sense to stay in the Hertfordshire countryside[…]It’s such a great move for us, and comes with the advantage of being right across the road from the train station, so you walk off the train and straight into the festival grounds.

“The new venue also means that we can retain all of the attractions that made last year’s event at Knebworth so special, including the Electric City, the fairground rides, the bespoke stages and our favourite pub the Star of EE. Hatfield House ticks all the boxes for us and we’re certain that this will be the first of many Eastern Electrics Festival events here. Welcome to your new EE home!”

Over 30 more artists are yet to be revealed to fill the festival’s seven stages this summer. EE will take place on Saturday 2 August between 11am-10pm with an after-party already secured at The Coronet Theatre.

Last year’s festival saw unforgettable performances from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Seth Troxler and Magda and more big names are expected to follow in their footsteps this year.

Early bird tickets for the day’s festival have just been released and are available from £29.50 and after-party tickets are now on sale here.
