ArcTanGent 2015 line up poster

ArcTanGent has revealed its first tidal wave of 40 band announcements for 2015 including The Dillinger Escape Plan as main stage headliners and 65daysofstatic for Thursday’s finale.

These two acts have been described as “a big statement of intent’ by organiser James Scarlett, adding that ATG is ‘really close to confirming the other headlines” and “should have news on that very soon, along with some other amazing bands that are often requested by our fans… one of the best things about ATG is discovering your new favourite band from the cream of the world’s post-rock and math-rock scenes.”

Other acts announced today are Flood of Red, 100 Onces, Prosperina, Latitudes, Black Peaks, 11Paranoias, Body Hound, Tacoma Narrows Bridge Disaster, Gum Takes Tooth, Cleft, AK/DK, Alpha Male Tea Party, Valerian Swing, We Never Learned To Live, Trojan Horse, Polymath, Sonance, OHHMS, Alright The Captain, Obe, Patchwork Natives, Downard, Pocket Apocalypse, Juffage, Vodun, Crows An Wra, IEPI, Vasa, Eschar, Lambhorn and Steve Strong.

Organiser Goc O’Callaghan described the several returning acts including AK/DK, Cleft and Alpha Male Tea Party as “some of the bands that helped make last year’s ArcTanGent such a success”. These 3 bands will be performing on the optional VIP Early – Entry Thursday to “excite those who came to the festival in the last two years” and “give new fans a chance to catch a little bit of what they’ve been missing out on”.

Former frontman of Oceansize and the current Biffy Clyro touring guitarist Mike Vernnart will be playing two sets, with British Theatre and his new band Vennart, who has said that he’s looking forward to performing, “We’re gonna make a weekend of it, hang out, have a bevvy and watch some weird bands. See ya there!”

ArcTanGent will be returning for its 3rd year running to Fernhill Farm in Somerset on the 20th-22nd of August. Tickets are on sale now here.
