About ArcTanGent
ArcTanGent, the only festival we know that’s named after a trigonometric term, is held on the last summer weekend of August. It eschews the money-making eclectic stance of many other events and sticks its stick firmly in the audio sand providing you with some of the best Math Rock, Post Rock and Noise Rock you’ll hear in the UK spread across four stages.
This festival uses a farm site that’s just outside Bristol so expect the usual outdoor antics and weather dependent thrills that make the UK scene such a fun-time gamble. News from the industry indicates this is an extremely professional event and it received two nominations at the 2013 Festival Awards for Best Small Festival and Best New Festival.
The craze on the stage is backed up by an equally impressive spread of Art and Absurdities to keep you interested whilst you’re supping your breakfast pint and when it’s time to find new friends in the evening you can lay back round the communal bonfire. The more discerning attendee can opt for boutique camping with the option to take a gypsy caravan if that takes your fancy.
A polished event that’s definitely one for those who love the Math Rock scene.
