Winners of Line-Up of the Year at the UK Festival Awards recently, Latitude, has announced the first headliner for 2014 as Two Door Cinema Club in what will be the bands first ever headline gig.
Joining them on the music bill will be HAIM, Billy Bragg, Anna Calvi, legendary soul musician Booker T. Jones, up and coming British songstress Marika Hackman as well as a special collaboration between Scandinavian powerhouses Röyksopp and Robyn. Also announced are Phosphorescent, Nils Frahm, Goat, Cass McCombs, Willis Earl Beal, San Fermin, Son Lux and Josephine Foster.
Kevin Baird from Two Door Cinema Club comments: “It’s really exciting for us to be headlining Latitude in 2014. Over the past 5 years we’ve made the progression from playing in the small tents to being close to the top of the bill on the main stage. Headlining a great festival like Latitude is obviously quite a big deal for us but we also feel like it is the next natural step. We’re ready to headline. We’re ready to smash it.”
Latitude returns for its ninth edition, taking place from Thursday 17th to Sunday 20th July 2014 in the stunning grounds of Henham Park, Suffolk.
The 2013 festival saw unforgettable performances from Kraftwerk 3-D, Bloc Party, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
