Dimensions has announced their initial line up for 2014.

Croatia’s underground dance festival is returning for its third season to the stunning Fort Punta Christo between 27-31 August, showcasing some of the world’s finest electronic music.

Kicking off the festival is a joint headline slot shared between Caribou and Darkside at Pula Amphitheatre. Taking place on Wednesday night before the main festival begins, the 2000 year old venue will host Darkside’s unique sounds from their latest debut album ‘Psychic’ and Caribou’s iconic mesmerising visuals.

Supporting the headliners are experimental producer and composer Nils Frahm and soulful singer Kwabs, whose unique sound stems from a combination of r&b and gospel.

Dimension spans across five days and nights of music and there’s a huge supply of artists stepping up to keep the crowd entertained including returning artists Gilles Paterson and Floating Points.

Debut appearances will be made from one of the most world’s most in demand DJs Nina Kraviz as well as techno label White Material and the brilliantly eclectic Awesome Tapes From Africa.

Award nominated Jon Hopkins will be performing live as will the funk, soul and jazz legend Roy Ayers; iconic duo Metro AreaMala and brilliant duo Tikiman and Scion.

Award winning Andrew Ashong, whose Flowers won ‘Track of the Year’ at Gilles Peterson’s 2013 Worldwide Awards will also be at Dimension alongside critically acclaimed OmarKode 9 and house music icon Karizma.

Techno artists are in abundance this year with sets lined up from pioneers Moodymann and Theo Parrish; techno duo Juan Atkins and Moritz von Oswald; techno titan Anthony “Shake” Shakir and Detroit heavyweight techno collective Underground Resistance.

Demonstrating the scope of Dimension’s music range are Goldie, Ben UFO, Move D, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Axel Boman, Kaytranada and Blawan.

Experimental artist Om Unit, who surfs the genres of hip-hop, jungle and bass will be playing alongside Josey, Rebelle, Leif, Seven Davis Jnr and Thris Tian with many more artists soon to be announced.

The stunning location of the festival makes it one of Croatia’s go-to festivals. An array of accommodation is available including the festival’s campsite and hotels and apartments in the surrounding area. Standard tickets are still available for £140.
