About T In The Park
T in the Park is a Scottish music festival that’s held at the disused Balado airfield in Kinross-shire. Contrary to your intuitive opinion, this event is actually not about the popular brewed beverage tea, but is named after its sponsor, the Scottish brewing giant Tennents. It has been held annually since 1994 when it was held in Strathclyde Park in Lanarkshire before moving to it current home. This is the fifth largest green-field style festival in the world – complete with camping and three days of madness.
T in the Park has a very eclectic music policy with the power to attract the super-names in the industry who need no introductions. They’re not shy about booking some of the more leftfield Dance music acts to go along with their main-stage crowd-pleasers, creating a broad musical spectrum that has more than a little bit of something for everyone.
During the festival, T in the Park becomes Scotland’s firth largest town - such is the pull of this massive music event. This is one of those events where the tickets sell out like tins of specially brewed lager on a Sunday morning in Glasgow, so you’ll want to be quick on the draw to stand a chance of attending this big scale party.
