About The Great Escape
The Great Escape is a city-based festival that takes place in the late spring month of May in Brighton. This trendy South Coast destination is transformed for a long weekend when thirty distinct and different venues across the urban sprawl play host to a huge number of bands, solo artists, DJs and acts.
Although you can find some seriously well-known acts at The Great Escape festival, this is one of those events where you can also clap your ears round some of the hottest new talent in the game. If you’re thinking of attending this event we recommend that you take the time to check some of the smaller venues as there’s a very good chance you could come across the next big sound.
Alongside the musical performances, The Great Escape also hosts a conference where delegates and speakers discuss the future of both the music and the festival industry, which has featured guests as diverse as Michael Eavis and DJ Shadow.
