In a brave \u2013 and exciting \u2013 decision, Red Rooster Festival<\/strong> is launching (properly) on Friday the 6th<\/sup> of June, for a two day festival, in the face of last year\u2019s cancellation. Based on the beautiful grounds of Euston Hall, Suffolk, this Americana festival is set to be the closest to the Deep South Suffolk can be, and by the sound of things, that\u2019s pretty Deep South-esque. Think Bourbon soaked ribs, musicians called Big Boy Bloater, and filthiest cigar box playin\u2019 rhythm and blues in the East of the UK. Not only that, but organisers have promised a Southern style barbeque to really sweeten us up.<\/p>\n With a focus on Southern styles, Red Rooster has a beautifully complimenting set up of genres: Rhythm and Blues, Americana, Soul, Roots, and Country music. For the festival\u2019s first year, the bands have been meticulously chosen to suit; hopefully, this will be a massive pay off.<\/p>\n The first confirmed acts include the Jim Jones Revue<\/strong>, Miraculous Mule<\/strong>, C.C. Smugglers<\/strong>, Scoundrels<\/strong>, Danni Nicholls<\/strong>, and Pearl TN<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Not only can you immerse yourself in the world of the Deep South, but there\u2019s a handy farmer\u2019s market so you can take the flavours of Red Rooster home.<\/p>\n And, if you fancy hanging about, the Rural Passtimes festival is on straight after at Euston Hall. Bouncing from South America to English countryside so fast might be a bit unsettling, but if you need to wind down after too many ribs, Rural Passtimes has jousting, Morris dancing, terrier racing, and a vintage and classic car display. All for the reduced price of \u00a38 for Red Rooster ticket holders.<\/p>\n
