And So I Watch You From Afar

ArcTanGent has announced its Early Entry Thursday line up.

The VIP night features special guests who are returning on request following last year’s festival performance; allowing previous attendees to relive exciting performances from festivals-past and offering the chance for those who weren’t there to catch up on what they missed in 2013.

The night will be headlined by Irish four-piece And So I Watch You From Afar who have just been nominated for Best Album and Live Act in Hot Press’ reader’s poll.

Supporting them are Three Trapped Tigers who are very excited to return to the festival: “ArcTanGent was a total treat for us. It really reminded us how we are part of a great scene of incredibly diverse and dedicated bands […] and made us feel proud to be involved in such a successful first year of a festival[…]”.

Alongside them are TTNG and The Physics House Band; Baby Godzilla, who are currently supporting Limp Bizkit in the Kerrang! tour; Nordic Giants; homegrown performers The St Pierre Snake Invasion and the one-man math-rock machine, Theo.

The VIP event is an optional night kicking off the festival but for organiser James Scarlett it’s a way of paying tribute to those bands who “helped make last year’s ArcTanGent such a success.”

The festival’s debut had an overwhelming response from the audience as well as seeing it shortlisted for three awards in its first year which saw performances from the likes of Fuck Buttons, Tall Ships and 65DaysOfStatic. Festival organiser Goc O’Callaghan says he thinks “festival goers really love the intimate and relaxed nature of small, independent festivals like ArcTanGent[…]”.

The math-rock, post-rock and noise rock festival takes place between 28-30 August at Fernhill Farm in Bristol. An early entry ticket is required for Thursday and they’re currently available for only £15pp.

The festival is expecting a sell-out year as organiser Simon Maltas said: “we’ve already sold more than 3 times the amount of tickets compared to this time last year without announcing a single band.”

There are still a huge amount of exciting announcements due from ArcTanGent, including artists from Japan and the USA, stay up to date on the latest line up and buy tickets here.
