Wychwood Festival has added another nine artists to its line up.

Joining the previously announced Boomtown Rats are The Stranglers who will be kicking off Friday night’s festivities. Bringing along with them their 23 top 40 UK hits the band are lining up a very special performance in honour of their 40th anniversary. Bass guitarist JJ Burnel says: “As we are celebrating two Anniversaries, it’s gonna be a hell of a party!”.

Sunday night’s headline act has also been confirmed as Wolf Alice, who has recently been supporting The 1975 on their sell-out tour.

Graham Gouldman, founder of 10cc will be bringing his Heart Full of Songs tour to the Cheltenham Racecourse; an hour long acoustic set will feature an array of material from both his acclaimed new album and a few band hits with the rest of 10cc.

Livening up Saturday afternoon is Buster Bloodvessel and the rest of 80s Ska band Bad MannersThrill Collins will be returning to Wychwood’s main stage alongside Gaslight Troubadours who recently released their slightly eerie, mock horror debut album Clockwork Curiosities.

The Big Top will be run once more by London promoters Smashing Blouse, who will be bringing the UK’s freshest talent across the three days between 30 May – 1 June.

The Big Top will also host electro brass trio Benin City as well as Racing Glaciers, who have just released their brand new EP and Pixel Fix.

The latest acts announced will be joining the likes of Newton Faulkner, Gentleman’s Dub Club and Bipolar Sunshine. All of the currently announced live acts, comedy acts and the Children’s Literature Festival line up can be viewed here.
