Standon Calling has announced two headliners and a collection of artists for 2014.

The first announcement welcomes Maximo Park to the ‘Lost In Latin America’ themed edition of the festival. The five-piece indie rock band have recently sealed a third Top 10 album with ‘Too Much Information’ and they’ll be taking to the stage this August to show you why.

The second headline announcement comes in the form of Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls. Having played London’s Olympic opening ceremony and recently playing sell out shows with a 20,000 capacity, Standon Calling is set to be a rather intimate performance for Frank and his band. All the better for his sing-a-long hits.

Sunday’s headliner is due to be revealed within the coming weeks, however an array of other artists have been confirmed to quench your thirst in the meantime. Staying true to the festival’s unique collection of artists, this year features the electric sounds of Clean Bandit; a feisty femme-pop addition in the form of Ella Eyre and local girl Charli XCX.

Covering Standon Calling’s indie supply are The HeavyPeace, TOYLeisure SocietyThe Cuban Brothers, The Other TribeAmber RunBeans on ToastEasy Stars All Stars and Saint Raymond.

The ‘Lost in Latin America’ theme is set to bring Amazonian rainforests and Aztec ruins to the festival’s set, all culminating in Saturday’s carnival where festival-goers can dress to impress with prizes awarded for the best costume.

Standon Calling will take place in Hertfordshire between 1-3 August. Following a sell-out success in 2013 and having already run dry of super early bird tickets, be sure to get yours now whilst they’re available for £119pp.

The festival is yet to announce the final line up, DJ programme, fringe entertainment, swimming pool area and a dog show, stay up to date with the latest information and buy tickets here.
