About V Festival Staffs
The V Festival in Staffordshire has been held since 1999 in Weston Park. It is one of a pair of events that was originally conceived by Jarvis Cocker, the front-man for the famous Sheffield band Pulp. He allegedly wanted to play two outdoor events in two days, so the V-Festival was born. The first events took place in Chelmsford and Warrington, then in 1999 the Northern event found its way into Staffordshire, where it has remained to this day.
Expect a sterling selection of some of the best bands of the moment combined with classics of all genres at The V Festival Staffordshire. This is an event that truly has a come one, come all mentality with a little bit of something to suit every single set of ears on the scene. It’s an eclectic mix of solo artists, bands and DJs giving you an excellent musical vibe that’s reflective of the current spectrum, making this is a great destination for your summertime festival frolics.
The V Festival Staffordshire uses a token system round the site to allow guests quick and easy access to the bars, avoiding the people pile ups that happen at some UK events. You can cash your tokens out at the end of the day up to one hour after the bars have closed. You can camp here – with a capacity of 90,000 revellers you’re sure to find some cool folk with whom to rub shoulders.
