About MELT!

The Melt! Festival is a big German party that’s held in Ferropolis in Germany. The event organisers describe the music policy as Electronic meets Rock, which pretty much opens the doors for all kinds of acts and artists. The event is held in an open air museum of huge industrial machines, some of which tower over the skyline and dominate the view creating a futuristic, technological feel to the proceedings.

With a history that can be traced back to 1997, the Melt! Festival has had a number of years to hone and fine tune their vibe and profile. They tend to stay on the cooler side of European dance, swerving the larger American acts for leftfield Indie and Dance acts – many of whom have been instrumental in creating cutting edge tunes over the years.

Compared to many of the UK and US festivals, this has been a very inexpensive ticket making it a little bit of a pull for those looking to party overseas on a tighter budget. As well as getting entry and camping in recent years the organisers have managed to add on a swimming permit so you can go get wet in the lake – just no getting sky-clad now.
