About Kendal Calling
Kendal Calling is three day independent festival that’s held in Lowther Deer Park. This is a picturesque part of the Lake District that replaced their original home of Abbot Hall Park, which overlooks Kendal Castle. Held in the last week of July, it has grown from a 900 person event in 2006 to a 13,000 capacity party that’s attracted a lot of interest from the industry, grabbing the 2010 Best Small Festival and the 2013 Best Medium prize at the UK Festival Awards.
Musically you can expect everything from the seasoned raconteurs and troubadours of the scene through to some of the better known up and coming acts. Everything about the line-ups at Kendal Calling has always been doused with a liberal sprinkling of the cool vibe, taking in everything from the Folk, Rock, Pop and Dance spheres and giving the musical atmosphere a little bit of something for everyone.
You’ve got to be fast if you want to grab a ticket for Kendal Calling. This event regularly sells out and it’s easy to see why when you arrive on site and are instantly plunged into a relaxed vibe that’s buzzing with that special festival ‘anything can happen’ energy. This is a family friendly event that provides the right kind of atmosphere for everyone to have a good time.
