About Beat-Herder
Beat-Herder is a three-day festival that takes place on the June-July cusp at its original and only home of Dockber Farm in Sawley, Lancashire. If you’re looking to get your festival jollies in an idyllic slice of countryside, where technology and trees combine to take you on a journey to a mid-summer’s land of magic, mirth and possibility, then you’ll be hard pushed to find a better event.
If you look back through the line-ups for Beat Herder, you’ll see that this is an event that’s really embraced Leftfield Underground Dance over the years, with a number of top acts from this scene gracing the stages every year. As the festival has grown they’ve widened the range of the musical entertainment with band performances from some solid Alternative Rock and Indie bands. This is not a place to come and see best-sellers – this is an event that’s all about the cult classics.
Beat Herder has a very natural feel to the vibe of the crowd here. The organisers have a mantra of beats and barminess and that’s exactly what they provide, wrapping up their audience in a warm glow from start to finish. This is definitely one for the original festival heads who like to fall in love for just a weekend and then walk away with the very sweetest of memories.
