About 2000trees
The 2000 Trees festival is a smaller independent event that’s held annually in July. It takes place at Upcote Farm near Cheltenham with space for some 5,000 party people. Created in 2007 by six friends who decided that they were tiered of paying through the nose to see the bands they love at other events, they decided to start up a festival with an onus on good value tickets and environmental issues.
There are four main stages for music, mirth and more at the 2000 Trees festival. These include a main stage where you’ll pick up the biggest acts – usually a mix of cool Indie sounds from the cutting edge of the scene, through to acoustic stages and even an outdoor headphone disco. Elsewhere across the site you’ll find a very diverse selection of sounds that takes everything from the heavy side of Rock through to UK Hip Hop.
With its smaller size and large campsite the 2000 Trees has always managed to have one of the best vibes you’ll find on the UK festival scene – a truth that was reflected when the event was awarded the 2010 Grass Roots Festival prize at the UK Festival awards. With comedy, village traders and everything you need to take you from horizontally relaxed through to startlingly upright, this is a very cool place to spend a weekend away from real life.
