Glastonbury Festival

Glastonbury Festival has announced it’s first ticket sales for 2014’s festival.

Thursday 3rd October marks the day on which, for the first time in Glastonbury’s 43 years, coach and ticket packages will be the very first tickets on sale. In an attempt to bring life to the vision of a greener festival, Michael Eavis – Glasto’s founding father – is choosing to reward those who travel by coach or bus by giving them an advance on gaining that golden ticket. Tickets are on sale from 6pm.

Alternatively, standard weekend tickets released on 6th October mean getting up at 9am on a Sunday has never been easier. Tickets this year total at a cost of £210 plus a £5 booking fee, however, only £50 deposits are being accepted in October with the remaining £165 due in the first week of April 2014. Ticket buyers will be able to purchase up to six tickets per transaction. Tickets are available online at: glastonbury.seetickets.com or you can order from a UK phone on 0844 412 4635 or from an international phone on +44 1159 934 183.

In order to purchase tickets, you will have to have registered in advance. Make sure you register here to avoid disappointment: www.glastonburyregistration.co.uk. Registration will close from 30th September and will not reopen until after 6th October.

Set to take place on 25-29th June 2014, even Michael Eavis himself admits it will be tough to beat this year’s performance of the ‘ultimate festival’. 2014 will however, call upon its festival family to open its arms and welcome some newbies to the grand stage. Eavis has revealed that there are three brand new headliners on his wishlist. Few stones have been left unturned now but speculation reveals whispers of an appearance from Prince, electro-pop band Depeche Mode and Fleetwood Mac, who were asked to play this year but had to decline.
